Tags :

The video was taken in Ivory Coast by a client who focus on shea oil production using SIMEC hydraulic oil press.

Shea oil is extracted from shea nuts at a temperature above 34 °C. Shea oil emits a potent aroma. It is utilized extensively for moisturizing and softening skin and hair. The oil transforms to butter below 34 °C. Shea butter is solid and waxy in appearance at room temperature.

Shea nuts grow on the shea tree which is indigenous to the savanna regions of West and Central Africa on the African continent. The tree is often called the shea butter tree. The shea fruit consists of a thin, tart, nutritious pulp that surrounds a relatively large, oil-rich seed from which shea oil is extracted.
