SIMEC Boosts Avocado Oil Production in Ethiopia

A brand new avocado oil plant invested by a local family owned cosmetics company will be set up in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The production line adopts SIMEC hydraulic oil press to produce virgin & pure avocado oil. Since the cold high pressure processing technology will not destroy nutrition and active substance, avocado oil produced in this way has a high cosmetic value, making it a very critical ingredient for their popular cosmetic production.

In addition to cosmetic benefits, avocado oil also has significant advantages as edible oil.

Known as one of the healthiest fruit oil, Extra Virgin Avocado Oil is rich of monounsaturated fat and vitamins. The oleic acid in it moisturizes the skin, reduces signs of aging, and cures dandruff, acne, and psoriasis. Vitamin E contained in the oil can reduces damage from UV rays. Its carotenoids help relieve pain and inflammation, improve eye health, and prevent cancer. Cold pressed avocado oil is also a good choice for people who want to lose weight or have high cholesterol.

Avocado oil is extracted from the fresh pulp of the fruit but not the seed. With the help of SIMEC technology, the avocado pulp does not need to be dried before pressing. There is no temperature rise or heat in avocado pulp during the whole cold pressing process, so the extra-virgin avocado oil preserves the highest nutritional value.

The virgin & pure avocado oil will be extracted by SIMEC HOP-50/280 hydraulic oil press, which has a great 380 tons vertical press force. Avocado oil will be produced at room temperature. All components in contact with avocado pulp and oil are made of food grade SUS 304 stainless steel. Its automatic operation mode can improve oil production efficiently.

A new avocado oil plant was set up in Harare, Zimbabwe in the mid of the year 2019. The oil company was invested by a wise and energetic businessman. His team has a great plan to produce both edible avocado oil for local market, and extra virgin avocado oil for market demand from overseas cosmetics industry.

Avocado oil will be cold pressed by SIMEC hydraulic oil press HOP50/280 at room temperature. All parts contact with oil materials are made of food grade SUS304 stainless steel. No temperature rise or heat on avocado material happens during oil extraction process.
